Code of Ethics

This Code of Ethics outlines the standards of professional conduct and responsibility that I uphold as a specialist in life coaching, nutrition, and fitness training. My work is based on principles established by leading international associations. By using my services, you agree to follow these ethical principles and place your trust in my professionalism.

1. Commitment to Leading International Standards

As a professional, I adhere to the high standards set by leading international associations in each area of my work.

  • As a life coach, I follow the ethical code of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), upholding principles of honesty, transparency, and respect for clients’ boundaries.
  • As a nutritionist, I observe the ethical code of the British Association for Nutrition (AfN) to ensure a science-based and professional approach to health and nutrition.
  • As a fitness trainer, I align with the ethics of EuropeActive, which guarantees safety and quality in the training process for each client.

2. Scientific Approach and Evidence-Based Methods

My work is grounded in scientifically proven methods and tools with demonstrated effectiveness in coaching and related fields. I avoid using methods that lack scientific validation or could mislead clients.

3. Honesty and Transparency

I provide accurate and truthful information about my services, qualifications, and experience. My goal is to build and maintain trust throughout our collaboration. All terms of cooperation (cost, format, duration) are discussed in advance to ensure transparency in all aspects.

4. Ethical Advertising and Marketing

All information on my website and in promotional materials is truthful and free from misleading claims. I avoid promising “guaranteed” results, as success depends on clients’ active participation and readiness for change.

5. Professional Boundaries and Competence

I recognize the limits of my competence and work only on issues within my knowledge and qualifications. If a situation requires medical, therapeutic, or other specialized assistance, I will recommend consulting the appropriate professionals.

  • As a nutritionist, I work within my area of expertise and do not prescribe therapeutic diets or medications.
  • I do not engage in therapeutic treatment or replace the services of psychologists, therapists, or psychiatrists. My role is to support clients in achieving their goals and developing skills that enhance their quality of life.

6. Professional Conduct and Avoidance of Dual Relationships

I avoid dual (professional and personal) relationships with clients, as these can impact the objectivity and quality of our work. If such a situation arises, I discuss its potential impact with the client and, if necessary, refer them to another specialist. I do not enter into romantic or close personal relationships with clients, as this can compromise professional boundaries and coaching objectivity.

7. Non-Discrimination

I respect each client’s values, choices, and cultural background. Interactions are built on respect, understanding, and acceptance, with no discrimination based on age, race, gender, religion, nationality, or orientation.

8. Respectful Communication and Non-Judgmental Support

My interactions with clients are based on respect and support. I adhere to principles of non-violent communication and do not permit judgments, insults, sarcasm, devaluation, or the imposition of personal opinions. My role is to support and motivate clients and provide a safe space where they can openly discuss their concerns. If I see an area for improvement, I guide clients towards awareness gently and without judgment.

9. Agreement Before Starting Work

To ensure transparency and protect the interests of both parties, I establish an agreement with each client before starting our work. This agreement includes terms of service, responsibilities of each party, confidentiality, and the terms for ending cooperation. It helps set clear expectations and maintains professional boundaries.

10. Confidentiality

I respect the confidentiality of every client at every stage of interaction. All information shared remains strictly between us, except as required by law (e.g., in situations of safety concerns). I make it clear that all communication can only be disclosed with your consent unless required by legal intervention.

11. Client Responsibility for Results

I support clients in achieving their goals but remind them that the ultimate results depend on their actions and willingness to work on themselves. I provide tools and skills but respect clients’ autonomy in decision-making.

12. Client Rights

I respect clients’ rights to end the coaching relationship at any time. If a client chooses to end our work together, I offer support through the process and, where possible, refer them to other suitable professionals. I am also open to adjusting my approach or referring clients to other resources if coaching no longer provides tangible benefits.

13. Continuous Learning and Development

I am committed to ongoing professional development, regularly updating my knowledge and skills. This allows me to offer modern, effective, and safe methods in coaching, nutrition, and fitness, grounded in scientific research and best practices.
